Over the past few weeks, we have spoken about the importance of utilising multiple channels and data.
When building out a site or taking on a client, it’s really important to ensure that tracking is set up and functioning correctly.
A really useful way to do this is to use integrations.
Shopify is one of the best platforms that marketers love working with because tracking integrations are so easy; it’s just a matter of using the Sales Channels.
When you are working with certain platforms, you can struggle because there are no native integrations supported by the platform.
When this is the case, you can be forced to use GTM, Google Analytics and manual coding. In some cases, this isn’t too bad but there are other platforms where you may find yourself roadblocked.
Ensure that clients using less familiar or well-known platforms come to you with tracking set up already and confirm that everything is firing correctly before you start running your ads.
If you are struggling with a less familiar platform, you may have found yourself drifting out of scope and into the role of a web developer. In a lot of cases, it may be more efficient for you to hand the task over to someone more experienced in coding.
Hope this helps!
